Year 6 had a fabulous day at South Shields beach last week as part of our Adventurous Outdoor Education. We got to try out surfing and rock pooling. We collected shells and made our own Plaster of Paris versions to take back to school. We made pictures from the natural materials that we found. We also played games on the sand and had a massive sandcastle competition to finish off our day. Throw in some dolphin sightings, a few thunder & lightning storms as well as the glorious sunshine and ‘Charlie’ the Surf School dog and you could say that we had a pretty perfect (but very tiring) day.
