On Tuesday 1st April, Class 8, Class 9 and Class 7 went to West Boldon Lodge.  They have been studying how plants grow in their recent topic, Plant Survival. The children’s new topic in science is Animal Survival and they are to study how invertebrates in microhabitats get food, water and shelter.  There were four activities at the Lodge: pond dipping, minibeast hunt, lifecycles treasure hunt and seed bomb making and dispersal. Everyone had lots of fun.

The children have been writing their Trip Recount in English this week and they have also been doing a report on a particular minibeast of their choice.
