Today, Y3/4 took part in a Nissan Engagement Day. Our visitors helped them learn all about the Nissan factory itself and what is manufactured there. Did you know? Nissan has a workforce of 6,000 and is capable of producing 500,000 cars! The children were able to explore the range of cars the plant produces and were impressed to find out that Nissan aims to electrify all 3 models they produce by 2030: the Duke, Qashqai and the Leaf.
Children enjoyed working collaboratively to build the tallest tower out of Lego and even designed their own vehicle. All were amazingly imaginative and even came complete with Newcastle season ticket printers and McDonald’s meal makers! Finally, they learnt some Japanese words and took part in the chopstick challenge. What a fun, engaging and inspiring session.
