The new Reception classes have loved exploring Forest School over the past few weeks. We can’t wait to see how our green space changes over Autumn.
Today two police and community officers came to visit the Reception classes. They showed us their uniform, talked about their job and how they help people in the community. We loved sitting in the car and listening to the sirens as they drove away.
KS1 have now finished their ‘Beach Hut’ topic in Design Technology. Today they took them outside to our sandpit to test the strength of their designs. Very fitting to have the sun shining too!
We have been extremely busy in Forest School this term preparing our garden for the beginning of the planting season. So far we have planted wildflower seeds, herbs, beetroot, carrot and peas. We are enjoying watching our seeds to begin to grow into small shoots. We can’t wait until our poly tunnel is up and we can begin to plant even more!
We’re also very pleased to have been awarded the RHS Level 2 School Gardening Award. We’re already working towards achieving our Level 3!
