As part of our childhood unit in History, we are looking at changes in time, particularly life in the 1950s. We had two special visitors from Beamish today who brought lots of artefacts that the children were able to handle and learn about. They also learned about music in the 1950s and were taught how to do the hand-jive!

The children have had a fun day learning about staying safe in and around water. They have been learning how to throw lifesavers, what the different flags at the beach mean and even had a try on of some protective clothing! More pictures to follow!

Here are the winners of our VE Day potato competition! The arts council had a hard time deciding as we had so many amazing entries, however these were the final choices as our winners! Well done everybody!
