Age Concern Christmas Appeal
Hedworth Lane have once again supported Age Concern Tyneside South (ACTS) with their Christmas campaign for 2023. Many classes have been busy making Christmas cards over the last few weeks for Age Concern to distribute across the borough. We hope we have managed to bring a smile to many people within our community.
Lovely Rangoli’s
As part of our Diwali celebrations in school, Reception took part in a workshop with Sunita to design their own symmetrical Rangoli patterns. We spent time developing our blending skills to create the perfect effect.
KS1 ‘Mix It Up’ and ‘Funny Faces and Fabulous Features’.
Today the 3 classes showcased their Art books in a class gallery and took turns visiting each other’s galleries. Children had the opportunity to showcase their work, share their knowledge and provide valuable feedback to their friends.
Art Council Projects
Key Stage 1 have supported Starlight in the run-up to the festive season by decorating bunting for health care settings and hospital wards.
Key Stage 1 members of the Arts Council led the project by collecting and preparing the bunting ready to send to different hospitals around the country.
Well done Hedworth Lane for brightening up wards and sending a message of love and kindness to children spending time in hospital this Christmas.
