School Sports Mark

Well done to Hedworth Lane for again achieving the Gold Sports Mark Award for 2022_23!

Sports Council and SSOC

 

Our new SSOC (School Sports Organising Crew) attended their launch event in November to learn new skills to support them in their role this year.

Cross Country

Children from Years 3-4 had an amazing time at Temple Park in September competing in the annual Cross Country event. They were brilliant and ran well on a difficult course. Well done to all of them.

Sponsored Athlete Visit

Our children took part in a sponsored event in September and raised over £4000! We were visited by a local heptathlete, Lucy Turner, who inspired the children to work really hard in some fitness circuits. Well done to our parents and carers for such an amazing fundraising effort!

Year 4 Football

In Autumn 1, Year 4 visited Boldon for a football festival. All of the teams did really well with one of our teams winning their group. Brilliant!

 

Year 5 Rugby

Just before the half term break in Autumn, Year 5 visited Boldon for a rugby festival. All of the teams did really well with one of our teams winning their group.
