Year 6 had a fun and informative time at South Shields Fire Station yesterday at the RAP (Reducing Accidents at Play) event.
The children learnt how to stay safe whilst playing out. They visited a range of experts who taught them about road and metro safety, the dangers near open water, electricity, fire safety and the benefits of active travel.
A massive thank you to all of our families who raised an incredible £4446.62 for our GB athlete visit in September. The staff have been blown away by your generosity. The money will be used to buy new sports equipment for lessons and OPAL. We have received a few last minute donations so this total could be even higher!! Well done Hedworth Lane!
