Our Year 6 children enjoyed games, dancing and fun at the Christmas Disco last night. They all had a wonderful time!
Our Reception children did an amazing performance of “The Snowman at Sunset” last week. All of the grown ups thought they did a great job – there was singing, dancing and acting too! Well done everyone!
Hedworth Lane have once again supported Age Concern Tyneside South (ACTS) with their Christmas campaign for 2023. Many classes have been busy making Christmas cards over the last few weeks for Age Concern to distribute across the borough. We hope we have managed to bring a smile to many people within our community. Here are just a few pictures of our children busy at work.
Year 5 and 6 completed a Geography field trip this morning linked to their work on settlements. From their observations of land use, the children decided that our school is in a town. Fab work and behaviour from the children.
Our Rock Steady bands blew our socks off with their Autumn Term gig this week! They are developing superb team work, listening to one another and growing in confidence week by week! A great job! Well done!
Year 3 and 4 have enjoyed being pizza chef’s in their Design Technology lessons this half term.

Class 4 completed the second part of their Lego build this week. They worked in groups to follow the instructions carefully and create a stage for their mini figures. The groups then set a scene on the stage. We talked about careers in stage production and the various roles from stage management to performing to lighting. The groups worked together brilliantly!
Today, Choir continued their festive program by entertaining Christmas shoppers at the Viking Centre in Jarrow. Mr Richardson joined us and the choir sang brilliantly to a growing crowd. The Christmas tree provided the perfect backdrop for this lovely festive event.

Last Tuesday, our Choir was invited to sing for the residents of Sycamore Care Home in Boldon. The children were welcomed by many residents who had come to hear them sing. The choir sang a range of songs and encouraged the residents to sing along, which they did! We had a lovely afternoon. Well done, Choir!
