Class 6 Pizza Extravaganza

KS1 Art Gallery

KS1’s Art topics this term have been ‘Mix It Up’ and ‘Funny Faces and Fabulous Features’. Today the 3 classes showcased their Art books in a class gallery and took turns visiting each other’s  galleries. Children had the opportunity to showcase their work, share their knowledge and provide valuable feedback to their friends.

Class 4 Stone Age Workshop

Stone Age? More like the Ice Age! Still, a bit of snow did not put Class 4 off when they travelled back in time to become Stone Age settlers. They worked together to build and decorate their own shelters before working together to make and bake bread on an open fire. What a fantastic way to spend an afternoon!

Prepare for lift off!

Class 2 had an amazing time taking part in the VR workshops.

Our topic in Science this half term is Earth and Space. The workshop took them on a journey through space.

The following information about the workshop is taken from the Education Group website:

Every child in the class becomes an astronaut

Virtual Reality transports you to places you cannot easily visit. The whole class simultaneously blasts off into space, piloting their research vessels around planets and moons, learning about the solar system.

French Zig Zag Books

The children have been learning a lot in their French lessons. They have learnt about vocabulary linked to colours and shapes. They have also learnt where to place size and colour adjectives in a French sentence and that feminine nouns must have adjectival agreement.

Choir Advent Service

Choir kicked off the festive season, performing at a special Advent service at Boldon Independent Methodist Church to a packed audience. They sang two sets of three songs, including solo performances from Frances and Freya which wowed the audience. Thank you to Mr Richardson for accompanying us and to all of those who attended, it really was a lovely start to our Christmas program.

Clock Challenges

Mrs Wakinshaw’s maths class worked very hard using their problem solving and reasoning skills to ‘clock’ the time challenge they had been set. Everyone was successful. Well done on great collaborative and teamwork skills!
